Your clinic, booking appointments while you treat patients
We designed a website for a dental clinic that shows the price of every treatment, books appointments in 3 steps from a phone, and builds trust before the first visit. Here are the design decisions behind every section.
Alba Clínica Dental is a fictional brand created to show our design process.
At many dental clinics, booking an appointment still depends on someone answering WhatsApp between patients. Meanwhile, messages pile up with the same questions: how much a cleaning costs, whether there's an opening on Saturday, where the clinic is. To show how a website can take on that work, we designed Alba Clínica Dental, a fictional clinic, and in this article we explain every design decision and why we made it.
What problem does the Alba Clínica Dental website solve?
It removes the need for someone to be available just to book appointments. The website answers the usual questions, like prices, hours, and location, and lets patients request an appointment in under a minute. That way, the team stops booking by hand and only confirms, while continuing to care for the patients already in the clinic.
Every section answers a question a patient would otherwise send in a message. If the website answers it first, the patient arrives at the conversation with their decision almost made.
Why does the headline promise "no waiting, no surprises"?
Because it names the two most common fears of anyone looking for a dentist: waiting a long time for an appointment and being shocked by the price. A headline that addresses those fears says in one line what the patient gains, which is exactly what a value proposition should do.
Below the headline, one sentence explains how the promise is kept: booking in under a minute and knowing the price before arriving. Right after that comes a single main button, "Book your appointment," with a trust row showing reviews, years of experience, and certified specialists.
Why show prices on a dental clinic's website?
Because price is the first question almost every patient has, and when they can't find it, they either message to ask or go look for another clinic. Showing a starting price and the duration of each treatment answers that question upfront, so whoever books already knows how much they'll invest.
When a treatment doesn't have a fixed price, like a smile makeover, the card says so clearly: "Price after assessment." That's more honest than listing a fake price, and it keeps patients from feeling something was hidden from them. The "Most requested" label helps those who don't know where to start.
How do you book an appointment in 3 steps?
The patient chooses a treatment, picks a day, and confirms on WhatsApp. The form asks for only four details: name, WhatsApp number, treatment, and preferred day. With that, the team can already schedule the appointment, and everything else, like the exact time or specific questions, is handled in the confirmation.
Below the button, the website explains that confirmation arrives on WhatsApp during business hours. It's a promise a real clinic can keep, and that matters: it's better to promise something realistic than to commit to replying within minutes and fall short.
Why is the booking button always visible on mobile?
Because most patients look for a dentist on their phone, and the moment they decide to book can come in any section: when they see a price, meet the team, or read a review. A fixed bar at the bottom, with "Book your appointment" and a direct WhatsApp shortcut, keeps the action always one tap away.
That way, patients don't have to scroll back up to find the button. Wherever the decision happens, the way to act is right there.
What trust signals does a dental clinic website need?
It needs to show who will treat the patient: each dentist's name, photo, specialty, and years of experience. Add real photos of the facilities and reviews from other patients. In healthcare, trust matters more than in almost any other industry, because patients are placing their well-being in the hands of someone they don't know yet.
Since Alba is a fictional clinic, its team and reviews are fictional too. On a real clinic's website, these signals only work if they're authentic: a made-up testimonial or a stock photo presented as the team is easy to spot and destroys the very trust it was meant to build.
How do you measure whether a clinic's website works?
You measure it by the appointments it generates, not by visits. Since Alba is a concept case, it has no real results, but these are the metrics we would set up from day one: how many people submit the appointment form, how many click through to WhatsApp, and which treatments get the most booking clicks.
In Google Analytics 4, this would be done with events like generate_lead for appointment requests and a custom event for WhatsApp clicks. If you want to check what else a website needs to convert, we cover it in our guide to the 7 elements. And if you'd like to see the same approach applied to another industry, check out our concept case for a travel agency.
What can your clinic apply today?
Even if you don't redesign your website, you can check three things. First, whether a patient can see the price of at least your most common treatments without messaging you. Second, whether they can request an appointment from their phone in under a minute. And third, whether your website shows who the dentists are. If any of these falls short, that's your first improvement.
Conclusion
A dental clinic's website doesn't have to be just a business card: it can answer the usual questions, show prices honestly, build trust before the first visit, and book appointments while the team treats patients. Every decision behind Alba Clínica Dental starts from a simple question: does this save the patient a message, or bring them closer to booking?

Frequently asked questions
What is a concept case?
It's a project we design for a fictional brand to show our process and our design decisions. It doesn't belong to a real client and doesn't present real results.
Should a dental clinic show prices on its website?
In most cases, yes. Showing a starting price for the most common treatments answers the patient's first question, and when a price depends on an assessment, simply saying so clearly is enough.
Can patients book appointments online without special software?
Yes. A short form that sends the details to the team and a WhatsApp confirmation are enough to get started. Later on, you can connect a calendar or a booking system.
What should a clinic's website show to build trust?
Each dentist's name, photo, specialty, and experience, real photos of the facilities, and authentic patient reviews.
